| Military Service Tax Assistance Project |
| FOR THE BEST OF THE BEST! In demonstration of our gratitude for the effort members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families are giving to the United States, the Illinois CPA Society has partnered with the Internal Revenue Service to launch a statewide initiative, the Military Service Tax Assistance Project. As participants in this program, we will provide free 2003 through 2008 personal income tax return filing service to members of the U.S. Armed Forces who were on active duty in a combat zone or qualified hazardous duty area in 2003 through 2008. Because military personnel and their families can take advantage of a number of combat zone tax benefits, exclusions, and extensions which may be confusing to them, our staff members with background in personal income tax preparation are ideally suited to provide this expertise and guidance |
